Réparothon - Repair Café Longueuil

Our techs and volunteers help you diagnose and repair your device, and give advice on how to expand their use life. Be it for a pc or a laptop, this event lets you learn to repair rather than dispose, while reducing your environmental footprint.

Your pc or laptop is out of order ?

Tech and Involved Volunteers, along with the Insertech team, will help you through diagnosing, repairing and/or optimizing your device in order to expand it's lifespan.

A partnership with Repair Café de Longueuil.

On the day off:

• Come to the help desk to register and explain your device's issue.
• The person at the desk will direct you to a volunteer. Wait a bit for the spot to clear up.
• When it's your turn, you will have about 30 minutes with the volunteer.
• Come back to the Insertech help desk to give the final result : repaired ? Diagnosed ? No fix was found ?

Réparothons are free community events where tech-savvy volunteers help you diagnose, and repair if possible, your slow or out of order devices in order to make them useful for a longer time. Because sharing is caring, you will also take an active part in the repair.

• Please make a backup of your files and data before bringing your device.
• Only one device allowed per person.
• Volunteers are not professionnals. Your are responsible of your device.
• Problem solving isn't always possible.
• Please bring your charger / power chord.
• Please charge the device as best as possible.
• We do not have spare parts, or phone/tablet screen protectors on hand.
• If a part needs replacing, you need to provide it.
• Free event, open to everyone with or without experience. ​
• Repairs and diagnosis will be limited. First come, first served. ​
• Registering does not guarantee a repair or a diagnosis.
